A documentary series in four parts that portrays the Swedish monarchy and its historical heritage. The documentary series includes historical depictions intertwined with unique conversations with members of the royal family. Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf is the longest-reigning monarch in Sweden and has been on the throne for 50 years this year.
The documentary series primarily portrays and follows the King through four distinct moments: The Change of Throne, Duty and Love, For Sweden in Time, and The Succession. It is a documentary that, through conversations and unique retrospectives, presents the Swedish monarchy in a completely new way.
